Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license (required for consideration)
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse caseloads and varying developmental needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for coordinating with educational staff and families
- Excellent organizational skills and an adaptable approach to changing student needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to school-aged children according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and participate in the development and implementation of IEPs
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff, special education teams, and families to support student progress
- Document all therapy sessions, monitor student outcomes, and adjust interventions accordingly
- Travel between assigned schools in the coverage area as needed during the contract period
This contract offers a focused, two-day-per-week schedule (14 hours), with workdays from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm. Please note a 30-minute unpaid lunch is included in the daily schedule.
