Key Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility in Nevada
- Experience in a school environment preferred, though strong pediatric background also valued
- Strong understanding of IEP process, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Ability to assess, plan, and provide therapy through both individualized and small group sessions
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with educators, families, and support staff
- Skill in adapting interventions to meet diverse student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess student abilities, plan interventions, and track progress
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Provide training or consultation to staff and caregivers as needed
- Support students in developing functional skills for classroom activities, self-care, and participation
- Use creative problem-solving to encourage student growth and achievement
