Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT licensure valid for practice in Nevada
- Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP process and familiarity with special education documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Adaptability and creativity in addressing diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individualized OT assessments for students referred for services
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans addressing sensory, fine motor, and adaptive skill goals
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to facilitate supportive learning environments
- Participate actively in IEP meetings providing insights and recommendations for student accommodations
- Document progress, maintain required records, and ensure state/federal compliance
- Engage students in both individual and group therapy, adapting interventions for different abilities
- Provide training, resources, and support to school personnel and caregivers
