Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials appropriate for school-based practice
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation standards
- Ability to assess students’ functional abilities and develop targeted intervention plans
- Collaborative spirit, ready to work alongside educators, support staff, and parents
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting therapy to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine student needs and recommend services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to support fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families on strategies to enhance student participation and success
- Maintain accurate records and tracking for progress and compliance
- Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to educational planning
