Essential Experience & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State
- Recent experience providing OT services in a school-based setting, especially with K-8 students
- Ability to adapt interventions to both 1:1 and group sessions
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Comfort working with diverse student needs, including sensory, motor, and functional skill areas
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 16 individual OT sessions and 25 group sessions, tailored to students’ developmental and academic needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress for assigned students
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support each student's success and participation in classroom routines
- Document treatment sessions, outcomes, and ongoing recommendations in accordance with school and legal guidelines
- Empower students to build independence and enhance fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
