Located close to Staten Island, NY, this full-time position offers you the chance to make a substantial impact by utilizing your skills as a school-based Occupational Therapist (OT). You’ll work closely with children who benefit from targeted 1:1 interventions as well as dynamic group sessions.
Position Details:
- Full-time schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:55AM–3:30PM
- Serve a diverse K-8 student population
- Balance of caseload: 16 individual sessions and 25 group sessions
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to promote student development in both academic and functional settings
- Take part in developing, implementing, and evaluating student-specific therapy plans
- Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt activities and environments to facilitate participation and learning for all students
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in New York State
- Proven experience supporting pediatric and school-aged populations
- Background in both 1:1 and group session facilitation within educational settings
- Ability to create individualized goals and adjust interventions for diverse learners
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
- Flexibility to engage in both ESY and NSY schedules as required
