As an Occupational Therapist, your expertise will enhance students' independence and participation in their daily academic environment. You’ll work closely with a supportive team to develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy with current licensure/certification required
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services in school settings, especially with K-8 students
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Creative, flexible approach to therapy, with superb communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to organize and manage both 1:1 and group sessions effectively
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct 16 individualized sessions and 25 group sessions each week
- Assess student needs and develop targeted intervention plans focused on maximizing function in classroom and social settings
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to promote student progress and goal achievement
- Maintain accurate records, complete timely documentation, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt strategies to meet diverse needs, ensuring equitable therapeutic support for all students
