This full-time, contract role is designed for a skilled Occupational Therapist who is passionate about working in educational settings. Providing services for the full school year, you’ll collaborate with dedicated teams within the Redwood City, East Palo Alto, and San Lorenzo communities, helping students achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in California
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and student goal-setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the Peninsula and San Lorenzo areas
- Dedication to fostering inclusivity and supporting diverse student populations
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services across five charter school campuses
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and meticulously document all services
- Coordinate with teachers, families, and school support staff to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for each student
- Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications
