Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current OT licensure within the state (or eligibility for state licensure)
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in school-based settings
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Passion for supporting students’ growth through evidence-based interventions
- Ability to adapt to diverse educational environments and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs
- Document progress and maintain detailed records consistent with school and legal requirements
- Support teachers in classroom modifications/accommodations to enhance student participation
- Educate and empower families about strategies for continued progress at home
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
