Occupational Therapist School Setting in Tacoma, WA

Your days will be varied, running primarily from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility in start and end times as determined by assigned school sites and occasional meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure and credentials as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience in school settings with a focus on pediatric populations is highly valued
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload of up to 950 direct service minutes per week
- Passion for empowering students of all abilities across a wide age range
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students in accordance with IEP goals and school guidelines
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress
- Adapt and modify activities and environments to ensure student participation and success
- Monitor and report on student outcomes, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as required
