Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sonoma, CA
Make an impact supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a welcoming, inclusive school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position is located onsite in the scenic Sonoma area, providing services for a diverse caseload of middle and high school students. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with a valid state license
- Previous experience in a school environment, especially with adolescent populations
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Strong assessment, observation, and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform screenings, assessments, and evaluations of student occupational therapy needs
- Design and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and partnering in goal-setting
- Collaborate closely with other professionals to support holistic student development
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation and progress notes
- Provide education and resources to families and staff regarding occupational therapy processes
