Step into a fulfilling role supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an engaging school-based setting. This contract position offers the flexibility to provide virtual (VOCO) services across four schools, serving a diverse K-12 population. Collaborate closely with an Occupational Therapist to deliver individualized, compassionate care to up to 60 students throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid COTA Licensure required
- Preferred experience with ESPED (IEP management system)
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to the needs of students across grade levels
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy a plus, but not mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct virtual occupational therapy services in alignment with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with the supervising OT and school staff to develop and implement tailored interventions
- Maintain thorough documentation for all assigned students and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Foster positive, professional relationships with students, parents, and educational team members
- Provide services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade across four campuses (all within a few miles of each other)
- Manage and schedule sessions efficiently to meet students’ specific needs and maximize impact
