You'll primarily serve one specialized district, working alongside a collaborative team and under provided supervision. The assignment starts as soon as possible with a minimum three-month term and strong intent to extend or transition to a permanent placement.
What You'll Bring:
- Valid COTA certification and active licensure to practice in Maryland
- Experience in educational or healthcare settings, especially with school-aged children
- Understanding of the IEP process and adaptability to new systems, with training provided
- Strong communication, time-management, and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel locally between assigned locations as needed
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services as directed by supervising therapists and IEP requirements
- Support student participation, access to curriculum, and functional independence within the school setting
- Participate in IEP meetings, team collaboration, and indirect/administrative tasks (admin time and team meetings provided and paid)
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation for student records
- Travel between assigned schools within the district, with mileage or travel time compensated
