Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid California licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
- Flexibility to adapt strategies for students across preschool-8th grade
- Commitment to fostering student independence and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students to address fine motor, sensory integration, and functional skills
- Assess students and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and school staff
- Document progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with district standards
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and recommended strategies
