Occupational Therapist School Setting in San Mateo, CA

What we’re looking for:
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience or strong interest in working in a school-based setting with diverse age groups, especially preschool through 8th grade students
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
- Ability to organize and manage a dynamic daily schedule
- Experience with IEPs and progress documentation preferred
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services individually or in small groups
- Assess students’ strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Track progress, maintain detailed records, and report on student development
- Contribute to a positive, proactive school culture
