- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license
- Prior experience in school-based OT services strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of occupational health principles and practices as they apply to children and young adults
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions
- Comfortable working in a contract position, adapting to new roles as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and individualized intervention plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy into the educational environment
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, updating interventions as needed
- Document all sessions and maintain compliance with school/district reporting standards
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings, contributing expertise to support educational success
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to assist students’ participation and independence throughout the school day
- Support the occupational health initiatives within the school, promoting a safe and inclusive environment
