Two skilled professionals are sought to serve as Occupational Therapists, each working 37.5 hours weekly on a contract basis. One position will focus on elementary-aged students, while details for the second opening are forthcoming—each role offers a chance to deliver meaningful impact within an educational setting.
Desired Qualifications & Background:
- Valid OT (Occupational Therapist) or COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) licensure
- Experience in school-based OT services strongly preferred
- Proficiency in fine and gross motor skill assessment and intervention
- Previous background supporting pediatric populations, especially elementary age
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Commitment to a full academic year
Role Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services designed to promote student participation and success in classroom activities
- Assess students' fine and gross motor skills to develop tailored intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals
- Maintain accurate therapy records and progress notes according to school guidelines
- Adapt therapeutic strategies to address diverse learning and physical needs
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development, as needed
