Fine Motor Skills Gross Motor Skills School Occupational Therapist | Westport, Connecticut

There are currently two full-time positions available, each at 37.5 hours per week—one focused on an elementary caseload and the other with assignment specifics to be confirmed.
Preferred qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school-based experience preferred
- Expertise in supporting students with both fine and gross motor skill development
- Background in delivering OT services within healthcare and educational environments
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Role responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy assessments and implementing treatment plans for students in accordance with IEPs
- Fostering the development of fine and gross motor skills to support classroom participation and independence
- Working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to tailor interventions and monitor student progress
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with district and regulatory requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing valuable insights to the educational team
